Yesterday, when I got home from school on the last day, i found that my Jamboree memory package had arrived, and it is really good. I have heard that we should also get a uk dvd in the post any time soon. Merry Christmas

arrived at Hallowtree

We have now arrived at Hallowtree. This is where we started the expedition almost 3 weeks ago. I think that everyone will try to keep in touch, with Facebook + email etc.

It has been an amazing journey, not only is the Jamboree experience the jamboree itself, but it is also the fundraising and events before. now we will experience what happens after.

Thanks Again for EVERYONE who helped us have this amazing opportunity, and soon it will be the start of the experience for the scouts wanting to go to the 23rd World Scout Jamboree 2015 in Japan. I would very strongly recommend it.

today we will leave Romania, this will be the end of a 3 week expedition. We started with Copenhagen, which was amazing, with the Rib Rides, the theme park, and the music gig for all 4,000 scouts, leaders, CMT from the UK. When we walked round past another unit everyone highfived each other.

Then we travelled to the jamboree campsite, in Rinkaby, Sweden. it was amazing to see so many people in one small place. there was so much to do, but so little time. everyone enjoyed swapping badges, scarves, bags or anything really.

We then set off for Romania. I did not know what to expect…. but it was better than that. Some parts are very modern and could be mistaken for any country in the world… but others look run down. I think that in a few years time it will be mostly modernised. The host families were very nice, and cooked us lots of very nice food.

Now we are packing to leave. It has been very good fun. It was definitely worth all the fundraising. Thanks Again to everyone who has helped us.

Romania (Gaesti – Bucharest)

this morning we left our hosts (after giving gifts and exchanging emails and facebooks. we then got on a coach to Bucharest. when we arrived we dropped off our bags at the hotel, before getting a bus to Peoples Palace, the 2nd largest building in the world.we walked 1km and only got to see 1% of the whole place this is where top gear came and drove underneath in the ventilation systems( and i even saw a Dacia Sandero !!!). when we finished we got the metro to the hotel. we had free time before heading off to a fast food restaurant which was not fast as it took about 1hour to serve everyone! there was everything from pizza, the chicken and burgers. on our way back we went on a very long tour of the sights which was nice in the dark light up. Many of the buildings are very modern and could be mistaken for being in London or another big city.

Romania Day 3

in the morning we went round an “arctic” fridge factory which makes 5,000 fridges a day. after this we walked to speak to the town mayor. after lunch we went on a bus to visit 2 church/ monasteries then to a castle about Vlad the impaler. after buying pizza we went to karaoke. where I filmed Richard, Ross and Malcolm singing!!!

Romania Day 2

Today we went to a disabled childrens centre, where we played music and games with them. After this we went to see the local scout hut. After lunch we went to the swimming pool, and we were jumping in for almost 5 hours. After tea we went back to the pool to have a party. now only 1 day left with families before we travel to Bucharest and then home
